The National Weather Service has continued lake effect snow warnings for Oswego and northern Cayuga Counties as heavy lake effect snow is making travel very difficult for areas closest to the Lake Ontario shoreline.
This lake effect snow band will remain across the northwestern corner of Oswego County through the morning hours bringing heavy snowfall to the city of Oswego. Scattered snow showers breaking off this main band will slide into Syracuse and bring minor accumulation to northern/central Onondaga County.
