Syracuse, N.Y. — DNA evidence from a relative helped Syracuse police identify a woman who was found dead in a vacant South Side home more than a year ago.
The woman was identified last Thursday as Elisia Russell, 37, according to a news release Monday from Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Police Department.
