Syracuse, N.Y. — The city of Syracuse’s top fiscal officer will resign at the end of the month because he’s not meeting a requirement to live in the city.
Chief Financial Officer Michael Cannizzaro will step down on Feb. 28 from the senior aide role newly created by Mayor Sharon Owens, said Corey Driscoll Dunham, the deputy mayor, in a written response to a syracuse.com inquiry.
