One dead, another injured after Erie Blvd. West crash, Attorney General’s office handling ‘preliminary assessments’

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office tells NewsChannel 9 that one person is dead, and another is injured after an early morning crash.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 3 between West Genesee and South Geddes Streets, near the Tipperary Hill area.

The sheriff’s office said that deputies tried to stop a reported stolen minivan on Avery Avenue in the City of Syracuse. However, the driver did not comply and headed eastbound on West Genesee Street, and then turned onto Erie Boulevard West…
