Syracuse man admits to third killing while already serving life sentence: Donnell Thornton, 31, who is already serving life without parole for a double homicide, has pleaded guilty to a third killing. Thornton admitted to fatally shooting Ronmaine Fontaine in December 2021 outside Laialina’s Tavern. Thornton accepted a reduced charge of second-degree manslaughter in exchange for a 25-year sentence, which won’t extend his current life sentence. He committed the double murder while out on bail.

Teen arrested after armed robbery attempt in Wegmans parking lot: A 16-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly attempting to rob a 17-year-old driver in the Wegmans parking lot in Fairmount on Wednesday evening. The teen reportedly approached the victim’s vehicle, aggressively demanded money while banging on the car, and pointed a gun before the victim drove away and called 911. Geddes police located the suspect at a nearby McDonald’s, where he was found with a loaded handgun…
