Deputies arrested a man following an investigation into alleged violations of a court-issued order of protection in the Town of Sennett.
Michael E. Stanton Jr., 28, of Auburn was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office on January 30 after an investigation that began in December. Investigators said Stanton contacted a protected party despite a full stay-away order of protection while he was incarcerated at the Cayuga County Jail.
Stanton was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor, and aggravated family offense, a felony. Deputies said the charges stem from evidence gathered during the investigation…
