Homer Man Dies From Injuries After Route 41 Crash in Scott

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office says one of the two people critically injured in a crash on Route 41 in the Town of Scott last Thursday has died.

86 year old Ward Dukelow of Homer died from injuries he sustained when his vehicle struck a tractor-trailer nearly head-on. Authorities said Dukelow was driving the vehicle, which sustained heavy front-end damage in the crash. He had to be extricated from the wreckage.

Dukelow and his wife, 82-year-old Joann Dukelow, were both transported to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition, according to the Sheriff’s Office

The driver of the tractor-trailer, 63-year-old William Schuessler of Sodus Point, was operating the vehicle for Eagle Eye Transport, based in Elbridge. He was not injured…
