Man Arrested After Early Morning Shots Fired In Syracuse

Adrian Duncan, 23, of Syracuse, was arrested early Thursday (February 19) following a shots fired incident on the city’s North Side that prompted police to evacuate an apartment building and shut down North Salina Street for several hours.

Syracuse police responded to the 900 block of North Salina Street around 2 a.m. Thursday after receiving a ShotSpotter activation, according to Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for the department. Officers discovered at least one shell casing at the scene and were able to track the suspect to an apartment building at 910 North Salina Street.

Police evacuated the building as a precaution and brought in the SWAT team due to the nature of the investigation. North Salina Street was closed between Union Place and Isabella Street until approximately 9 a.m. Thursday to allow officers to safely conduct their investigation…
