SYRACUSE, N.Y. — While the weather in Syracuse and CNY is relatively quiet this weekend, the big east coast cities are preparing for not just heavy snowfall, but strong winds as well.
This unfortunate combination has caused the National Weather Service to not only issue simply Winter Storm Warnings for interior cities and suburbs, but Blizzard Warnings across many locations closer to the east coast.
Heavy snowfall, strong damaging wind gusts, power outages and travel nightmares are just a few on the list of many impacts expected from this developing storm.
Back here are at home in CNY just some light snow and above freezing temperatures for Sunday.

Here are my newest snowfall forecast maps for Saturday night, Sunday daytime and Sunday night through Monday morning:
Notice how the higher amounts of snow will be down across the Madison, Chenango and Otsego Counties by Monday as those areas will be closer to the core of the east coast storm.
