Shelter order lifted after police find body in home set on fire by suspect

TOWN OF CLAY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A shelter-in-place order has been lifted after the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office confirms its drones detected what’s believed to be a body in the home set on fire by a suspect at the center of a manhunt.

Police haven’t definitively confirmed the body is 58-year-old Mark Harrington, but Harrington was the only person unaccounted for after the fire.

Harrington was wanted after police were called to a home on fire and the scene of domestic dispute between he and his wife. She told police Harrington threatened her with a gun, so he was considered armed and dangerous…
