Ryan Smith has opened Syracuse Simplicity, a cremation-focused boutique funeral home in the Sedgwick neighborhood, making him one of the youngest funeral home owners in the country at age 24.
Smith graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, which Forbes recognized as a top 30 trade school. He completed his apprenticeship at Cremation Services of Central New York before working for Schepp Family Funeral Homes. Prior to launching Syracuse Simplicity, he purchased a local transport and embalming service.
