Syracuse airport police officers save life of passenger in cardiac arrest

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Two Syracuse airport police officers saved a person’s life during a medical emergency last week.

Syracuse Regional Airport Authority Police Department officers responded to an arriving passenger collapsing from sudden cardiac arrest at Syracuse Hancock International Airport at about 11:45 p.m. on Feb. 24, a spokesperson for the airport said in a statement.

One officer performed CPR on the passenger and another officer used a defibrillator to deliver multiple shocks. A nearby nurse and other first responders also helped save the passenger, the statement said…
