Jean Calderon sentenced in Parkside Commons drug trafficking enterprise case

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Jean Calderon, one of six men charged for their involvement in operating a drug trafficking enterprise out of the Parkside Commons apartment complex in Syracuse, was sentenced in court on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

Calderon was sentenced 4.5 to 9 years in state prison for enterprise corruption, 7 years for criminal sale of a controlled substance, and 3 years post supervision. The sentences will run concurrently.

On May 21, 2025, Syracuse’s Gang Violence Task Force executed search warrants at building 2119, apartments 205 and 307 where officers recovered cocaine, fentanyl, a loaded “ghost gun” among cash and other drug paraphernalia. In that search, Calderon along with four others were arrested, and charged with three felonies and one Class A misdemeanor…
