Liverpool, N.Y. – The Onondaga Lake Park Marina is undergoing its first major overhaul since it was built nearly a century ago.
Construction has already started at the marina, owned by Onondaga County and built in 1933. The county will replace the crumbling retaining wall, add dozens of slips for boats, upgrade bathrooms, add showers and expand the parking lot.
The marina has 92 slips. The project will add 26 new slips for boats and 16 for personal watercrafts. That will allow more boaters to use the marina and give the village of Liverpool an economic boost, the county said…
