Additional weather alerts have been issued across the Finger Lakes and western New York as forecasters warn the powerful storm system will transition from severe weather and wind to accumulating snow overnight.
The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories for several counties across the region beginning Monday evening, including Monroe, Wayne, Livingston, Ontario, Allegany and Steuben counties.
In Steuben County, a winter weather advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. Monday until 4 a.m. Tuesday, where forecasters say 2 to 4 inches of snow and sleet are possible.
