Former Syracuse gang leader turned youth counselor admits to huge bail bond scheme

Syracuse, N.Y. ― A self-proclaimed former gang leader turned youth counselor and advocate admitted Monday to stealing tens of thousands from families in a fraudulent bail bond scheme.

General Davis, 66, pleaded guilty to second-degree grand larceny on the day he was set to begin a trial before a judge.

He admitted to working with Regina McCoy and her son, Anthony Moffett, to give fraudulent bail bonds to dozens of families and profiting in excess of $50,000…
