SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A Syracuse Firefighter was injured battling a house fire on Putnam Street on Wednesday.
The house, which caught fire before 5 p.m., sustained heavy damage. Most of the home’s outside walls were charred black by smoke and flames. A neighboring house appeared to have its sides warped by heat.
The home was vacant and is considered a total loss. The structure will be scheduled for demolition. According to Syracuse Fire Investigators, the cause of the fire remains under investigation…
