SULLIVAN, N.Y. — The New York State Police pulled over a driver who had around 180,000 untaxed cigarettes in his vehicle.
The state police charged Mohamed H. Alawdi, 30, of Utica, N.Y. with violating New York State tax law 1814(c)(2), a felony.
The police said on March 13, around 10 p.m., troopers pulled Alawdi’s 2021 Dodge Durango on the New York State Thruway in the Town of Sullivan, N.Y.
