45 workers laid off as rival acquires Central New York blood lab

Salina, N.Y. – A blood laboratory in Salina has closed and 45 employees were laid off after the facility’s parent company was acquired by a rival lab.

The Laboratory Alliance of Central New York blood processing center at 113 Innovation Lane in Electronics Park closed March 16, resulting in the layoffs, according to a state employment notice.
