Jamesville-DeWitt High School is getting ahead of New York State’s new Portrait of a Graduate standards, which will take effect for students entering 9th grade in 2029-30. The school has already added a Financial Algebra course for juniors and seniors, covering real-world topics like budgeting, taxes, and credit. The art program now offers a clear progression from beginner to advanced levels, with college credit available for higher courses.
Starting in Fall 2026, students can choose between two new technology pathways: the existing Project Lead the Way program through RIT or a new Electromechanical Technology Pathway through Onondaga Community College.
