Speeding motorcyclist injured when bike hits guardrail on Thruway in Salina, troopers say

Syracuse, N.Y. — A 22-year-old Clay man was injured Monday evening when his motorcycle crashed on the state Thruway in Salina, troopers said.

Around 6:46 p.m., Daniel P. Wilson was traveling at a high rate of speed on the eastbound ramp from I-90 to I-81 north when he lost control of the motorcycle and hit a guide rail, according to Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a spokesperson for the State Police.

Wilson, who was on a 2007 Yamaha Chappy motorcycle, was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Jiron said…
