Flood warning in place for Madison and Onondaga counties until Wednesday evening due to excessive rainfall

On Wednesday at 7:35 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a flood warning in effect until 7:30 p.m. for Madison and Onondaga counties.

The weather service informs, “Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring for Madison and Onondaga counties.”

“Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring,” says the weather service. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
