April Flooding Leaves Basements, Roads, and Campgrounds Under Water

Heavy rainfall and rising waters across Central New York have flooded basements, roads, campgrounds, and turned some homes into lakefront property.

Residents have been sharing jaw-dropping photos and videos of the flooding, including one from Cody Pitcher, owner of CJ Gutter Co, capturing a gazebo and deck floating down the Erie Canal towards Oneida Lake in Sylvan Beach.

Rising Waters on Fish Creek

In Taberg, Fish Creek has swelled dramatically, with videos showing the river running massively and fast.

Joseph Wagner shared the scene, showing just how much water is on the move.
