AUBURN, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A Baldwinsville man is facing a felony charge after allegedly taking around $1,500 in shoes from an Auburn apartment on Tuesday, March 31, police said.
The Auburn Police Department said in a statement that at about 1:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to an Owasco Street residence for a report of a man trying to break into a residence. The complainant said the suspect got into the building’s second apartment and was seen leaving on foot down Owasco Street.
The complainant also contacted the apartment’s resident to tell them about the break-in, police said. As the victim was getting home, they saw the suspect walking down a sidewalk. The victim exited their vehicle, police said, prompting the suspect to flee and jump over a fence into a backyard on Owasco Street…
