SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Utility customers in Central New York are seeing higher monthly bills as the next phase of rate increases takes effect.
For the average residential customer, electric bills are rising about 7%, adding roughly $6 per month, according to National Grid Spokesperson Jared Paventi. Gas bills are increasing nearly 12%, or about $8 more each month.
