CLAY N.Y. — The Town of Clay board is meeting on Monday, April 6 to consider a series of local laws tied to growth and development, including a proposed change to noise regulations that could directly impact construction at Micron Technology’s planned chipmaking campus.
At issue is Local Law No. 2 of 2026, which would exempt construction and demolition activity in Industrial 2 zones from the town’s existing noise restrictions. Those zones include the White Pine Commerce Park, where Micron is planning a massive semiconductor facility expected to take years — potentially decades — to build.
