Syracuse man charged after 6-hour police standoff and stabbing on North Side

Syracuse, N.Y. — A man who police say stabbed a woman and then was in a six-hour standoff with police on Syracuse’s North Side Thursday has been charged.

Franklin Hill, 42, was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest, according to Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for Syracuse Police.
