Syracuse police are seeking the public’s assistance in solving a shooting that left a man critically injured early Saturday (April 4). The incident occurred on North Geddes Street near Calcaño’s Tavern, though the bar’s owner has stated that the shooting was not connected to the business.
Officers were dispatched to the scene around 1:53 a.m. after reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they learned that the victim, a 33-year-old man, had already been transported to Upstate University Hospital by a private vehicle. He is currently being treated for a gunshot wound to the abdomen and remains in critical but stable condition, according to Syracuse.com.
The Syracuse Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is leading the investigation.
