Jury couldn’t decide if Syracuse killing was self-defense, but convicts man on gun charges

Syracuse, N.Y. ― A Syracuse jury convicted a man of possessing two guns Monday but could not decide whether he killed in self-defense or committed murder.

Josue Pizarro, 28, was on trial in the fatal shooting of Jesus Carmona, 28, outside a home on the 200 block of Sabine Street in broad daylight on April 13, 2024.
