Deputies recover 28 ounces of cocaine, other narcotics in Town of Salina drug bust

SALINA, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office recovered numerous drugs in a narcotics bust in the Town of Salina.

Authorities said on March 30, the Special Investigations Unit, assisted by members of the Criminal Investigations Unit, recovered and seized the following items:

  • 28oz of powder cocaine
  • 6oz of crack cocaine
  • 100g of Hydrocodone pills
  • Oxycodone pills
  • Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine pills
  • Alprazolam pills
  • Tramadol pills
  • Buprenorphine pills
  • Clonazepam pills
  • Suboxone Sublingual strips
  • multiple scales with cocaine powder residue
  • packaging common and consistent with the trafficking of narcotics and controlled substances
  • About $21,600 US Currency

As part of the investigation, deputies arrested Jerold Bean, 43. He was charged with the following:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st (Class A1 felony)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd- Narcotic with Intent to Sell (Class B felony)
