SYRACUSE, N.Y. — An April 8 lawsuit filed in Onondaga County Court accuses Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick of false statements, defamation and emotional distress.
Cayley Young, a former employee at Fitzpatrick’s office, claims that statements District Attorney Fitzpatrick made to CNY Central in November 2025 were “blatantly false” and “outright derogatory.”
Fitzpatrick’s statements were made in response to a prior lawsuit filed by Young. In November 2025, Young accused Fitzpatrick’s office of sexual harassment.
