A proposed 309-unit apartment community in Manlius moved closer to reality after county officials approved millions of dollars in tax exemptions for the development.
The Onondaga County Industrial Development Agency approved nearly $9 million in tax exemptions for the Twin Ponds project, a 115 million development planned off Burdick Street near Town Center. OCIDA voted unanimously to grant $8.6 million in tax breaks.
The multi-family community would include commercial space, a fitness center, children’s play area, dog park, a new dock and a covered pavilion. The project is proposed by Twin Ponds HB LLC, an affiliate of Hueber-Breuer Construction Company. Construction could begin later this year…
