Viewer Question: When will the new Fayetteville/DeWitt exit off I-481 south get repainted? The lines have faded since it opened last fall.
The faint paint lines were a topic of conversation at a recent DeWitt Town Board meeting. One board member compared the exit to a game of Mario Kart, as drivers try to stay in their lanes.
Viewers who contacted the Your Stories Team said some of the markings were particularly hard to see at night or during poor weather.
When we brought viewers’ concerns to the NYSDOT, we were told the faded pavement markings were temporary and would be replaced with permanent epoxy markings in the near future…
