Girl tells man who abused her young sister, ‘I hope what you did to others happens to you’: The sister of an 8-year-old girl who was sexually abused by a man multiple times wrote a scathing letter for the man’s sentencing. David Arnold, 71, of Clay, was found guilty of sexually abusing an 8-year-old over several months in 2024 while she and her sister visited his farm. The sister, who is close in age to the victim, wrote in a letter read in court that “I hope (Arnold) never sees anyone besides the criminals he is with.” Arnold was sentenced on Wednesday. | Read more
Novelis reports $84M loss in Q4 after Oswego fires, but looks to restart plant soon: Novelis Inc. said Tuesday that two fires at its aluminum plant in Oswego County last year caused the company to lose $84 million in its fourth quarter. For fiscal 2026, Novelis saw its profit fall 98% from the previous year. But Steve Fisher, president and CEO, said the company is focused on restarting the plant in Scriba “within the next few weeks, well ahead of our previous estimate of end of June.” | Read more…
