Law firm to offer Uber vouchers to prevent Memorial Day DUI

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A local law firm is offering Uber vouchers to curb drinking and driving on Memorial Day. The vouchers can be claimed in the Albany, Binghamton, Plattsburgh, Syracuse, and Utica areas.

The vouchers are part of the Safe Ride Home program from Harding Mazzotti LLP.

The National Safety Council (NSC) estimates close to 400 people may die in motor vehicle crashes during over the holiday weekend. The NSC said 38% of fatal crashes in 2024 involved an alcohol-impaired driver during Memorial Day weekend compared to the average of 30% for the 2024 calendar year.
