Clay, N.Y. — Athletes entered through a pathway lined with supporters yelling, holding signs, and offering high fives, energizing competitors for one of Liverpool’s marquee athletic events.
The 4th annual Olympiad at the ‘Pool spotlights athletes of all abilities in the Liverpool Central School District.
Student and staff volunteers ran events including an obstacle course, long jump and 50-yard dash, and led cooperative games with recreational parachutes.
“They are different, but they aren’t,” Frances Omura said while watching her daughter in the long jump. “I love that they do it, it’s wonderful.”…
