Scott West has been named the new chief information officer in Pierce County in the state of Washington.
West has been serving as CIO with the Washington Department of Ecology since July 2022. His final day with the state agency will be May 31, according to Andrew Wineke, deputy communications director for the Department of Ecology.
“Scott brings decades of experience in technology leadership,” said Kari Plog, executive office press secretary and communications specialist with Pierce County, in an email. “His experience leading enterprise technology strategy in complex public-sector organizations will help Pierce County continue advancing cybersecurity, artificial intelligence initiatives, modern technology services and technology infrastructure that support effective and reliable county operations.”…
