The Bonney Lake mother arrested for the death of her 15-month-old son who ingested fentanyl that his father allegedly left out on a bed was sentenced Monday to 19 months.
Karlee Annmarie Eley, 27, pleaded guilty in Pierce County Superior Court to second-degree manslaughter for the death of Weston Tucker, admitting she negligently caused his death by leaving him in the care of his father. The manslaughter case against the father, Nicholas Lee Tucker, is ongoing.
Judge Joseph Evans imposed Eley’s punishment, giving her a sentence below the standard sentencing range of 21-27 months. Eley has no prior criminal convictions. Prosecutors and the defense agreed to recommend that length of incarceration…
