A Central Washington medical university is reaching out to Tacoma to train members of its inaugural class of dental students.
The School of Dental Medicine at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima hopes that the students, once graduated, will help ease the strain of medical deserts in various underserved and rural communities in the state.
