Thurston Co. man fought K-9, crashed car under the influence, deputies allege

Thurston County deputies arrested a 42-year-old Federal Way man accused of crashing his car while under the influence and attempting to hurt a police dog on Wednesday.

The man crashed a Dodge SUV at about 7 p.m. on a rural property on the 3900 block of 146th Avenue Southwest, which is southwest of Maytown and near Interstate 5, according to court records.

A deputy responded to the scene and held the man at taser point, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit shared on Facebook Wednesday.
