A gas station may still be in Key Center’s future, but it appears it won’t happen without a fight.
Over 70 people showed up to a Key Peninsula Fire Board of Commissioners meeting in-person on Tuesday, many to oppose a buyer’s proposal to turn the parcel at 15610 Olson Dr. NW — locally known as the Calahan property — into a gas station. Another 20 people attended the meeting via Zoom, the fire departmentreported on Facebook.
The buyer, John Park of Taechang, LLC, put in an offer at $1.055 million last year but failed to deposit the earnest money by the deadline, leading the fire department to conclude the deal was dead. On July 7, Park made a second offer nearly identical to the first, Key Peninsula News reported…
