Hidden in a nondescript building in downtown Tacoma, across the street from Corina Bakery and The Grand Cinema, rows upon rows of soft sheep skin sit waiting to become car seat covers, earmuffs and rugs.
For 38 years, one of the largest sheepskin factories has been headquartered in Tacoma. You wouldn’t know it was there if not for small sheep decals on the doors: a blue ram’s head and red-and-white striped body, reminiscent of the American flag.
