Harbor Senior Connection (HSC), also referred to as “Betty’s Place,” is thrilled to invite the community, local leaders, and media to the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new home. The celebration will take place on November 10th at 4:30 PM in Gig Harbor.
When the former facility closed down years ago, a dedicated group of citizens has been working tirelessly to restore a place for seniors to connect. And now we have Betty’s Place, a dedicated facility for the Harbor Senior Connection.
It is quite serendipitous that in 2019 Gig Harbor seniors lost their dedicated “home away from home” due to the sale of their space to the Peninsula Schol District (PSD). And now in 2026 the PSD came to their rescue; they once again have their own place.
Harbor Senior Connection connects seniors to each other and local resources in a welcoming environment in which to socialize, stay mentally and physically active and “hang our coffee mugs.”
