16-year-old critically injured after being shot in the face, leg in Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. – A 16-year-old boy is suffering “critical life-threatening injuries” after being shot in the face and leg in Tacoma early Thursday morning. The incident occurred shortly after midnight. According to the Tacoma Police Department, witnesses said the teen was approached by two people who “fired multiple shots, then fled in a vehicle” on the 4400 block of East Portland Avenue. The teen was “shot in the leg and face causing critical life-threatening injuries,” police added.
