When the queen of the aquarium swims by, even the hammerhead sharks get out of the way

TACOMA, Wash. – “She is a very special girl,” said Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium staff biologist Tai Belhumeur, as the large Spotted Eagle Ray glides by. “Her name is Rayna, Spanish for ‘queen’. She is in fact the queen of the exhibit. She’s got a very calm, regal, stoic personality and when she’s coming through the water column, everybody parts and gets out of her way.”
