State says to expect long delays on northbound I-5 near Tumwater on Tuesday, Feb. 13

Northbound Interstate 5 travelers in Tumwater should plan for long daytime delays on Tuesday, Feb. 13, the state Department of Transportation announced.

Crews will close the right lane of northbound I-5 as it approaches Tumwater Boulevard to repair potholes, according to WSDOT. The work will take place from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The northbound I-5 Exit 101 to Tumwater Boulevard will remain open during the work.

The work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled.

If the pothole work sounds familiar that’s because crews recently repaired potholes on southbound I-5 in Tumwater near Exit 99 to 93rd Avenue.
