A hiker missing from Idyllwild was found in a canyon near the Whitewater Preserve. The Riverside Sheriff’s Department reports that Robert Budinski, a 69 year-old resident of Olympia, WA, was found dead on September 11. The Sheriff’s Department did not provide a specific location, saying only that he was found along the Pacific Crest Trail in a mountain canyon near Whitewater Preserve.
