A 22-year-old Kent man was arrested on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 by Valley SWAT officers following a months-long investigation into what authorities are calling one of the most severe domestic violence cases they have seen.
The investigation began March 9, when Kent Patrol Officer Litke responded to a 911 call from a 19-year-old woman reporting that her boyfriend had damaged over $2,000 worth of her belongings in their shared apartment on 88th Avenue South. The suspect fled before officers arrived.
Ten days later, the woman called police again with a chilling report: the suspect had allegedly attempted to start a fire inside their apartment while she hid in a closet on the balcony.
