Opening date announced for $32M Pierce County rec center with mini golf, track

The Peninsula Metropolitan Park District’s (PenMet Parks) new $31.6 million Recreation Center will soon be open to the public.

The News Tribune previously reported that the new recreation center is at 2524 14th Ave. NW, where the Performance Golf Center once stood, behind the park district’s Administrative Building near Gig Harbor.

It encompasses a 58,000 square foot building and a 17-acre recreation campus, according to an April 24 PenMet Parks press release…
