A 21-year-old woman was killed after an allegedly intoxicated motorcyclist gave her a ride and lost control of his motorcycle in an area south of Roy on Saturday, according to a news release by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched around 9 p.m. to a motorcycle wreck with a passenger who had died at 332nd Street South and state Route 507. The motorcyclist, a 26-year-old man, had allegedly shown up to a party earlier and offered to give people rides, the release said.
Pierce County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Carly Cappetto told The News Tribune in a phone call that the man allegedly didn’t see an intersection and swerved when he lost control of the bike, and both he and his passenger were ejected.
